Sea Company

Ocean has always been a part of my fantasy world. its great reach & scenic beauty has always attracted me . Being from a naval family I've had a few meetings with Mr. sea.
My experiences with sea & other waterbodies has been awesome! Sailing in some prestigious ships of Indian navy in Arabian sea, watching dolphins & beautiful birds, doing a 'TITANIC'( stretching hands wide) feeling free . Splashing water on each other with friends at chowpatty ,thinking about our future at marine drive , gossiping at sea-face. Sea has been every where.
U know what would be a perfect day for me - waking up in a beach resort, walking into water, collecting shells, breathing fresh air, hearing the sound of sea which the waves make, just standing there …watching sunrise….taking it all within. Just want to spend these precious moments alone! my most beautiful morning I can imagine.
Then as the day proceeds, joined by my best buddies, playing some adventurous water sports -diving, water skiing, surfing etc & indulging on some delicious sea food.
Then in the evening at sun set -the best part awaits-BONFIRE! Celebrating life with some good music & talking all night long. Then finally going to sleep under the blanket of stars with the music of the waves. Brings a peaceful content & silence in mind. A great way of having time of your life!!

RIGHT TASK GONE WRONG

It was considered a privilege in those days -being the MONITOR of the class. When we were kids it meant a lot. The black badge with bold white words printed on it saying 'MONITOR OF …', it brought with it a feeling of superiority.

In most cases, The strongest candidate of the honor used to be someone  with the most successful experience in being a teacher's pet! I was too but not intentionally it was because I loved getting appreciation & praise. Popularity & responsibility comes with the honor. Everybody wanted to be my friend, I enjoyed it too. There was a competition every week for the title of the most neat & tidy class. The winner class was given a cardboard made golden star. My class never won one. But still I was made the monitor for 3 consecutive years. maybe , NO definitely because of my good grades & participation in co-curricular activities. My teachers were impressed  by me….they often  used to call me for minding other classes as well.

Then I moved to a new place. In the new school the monitor was also moving to a new place. The teacher asked who wants to replace her, almost all hands were up!  4 candidates were chosen & voting was done. I gained the maximum no. of votes & became the monitor. I am a human too (news flash!) & I make mistakes. I was a bit hitlerish. It was a real hard task of minding such a notorious class. There was a girl name pushpalata in our class. She was fat ( sorry). I came with an not so good idea. I said whoever will make noise will have to sit with her. There was a long silence. It worked but not for too long.  pushpalata was hurt & she started crying. I still regret & feel sorry for her.

However in my entire monitor career I had many cat fights too. Too be honest I was bad at being a monitor. I misused my power. I became egoistic. Any classmate who used to go against me, I  had her boycotted from whole class. As no. of protestors increased I had to step down.

Thereafter I never stood for monitorship. But due to my teacher's insistence I once became discipline monitor. All I did was nothing!

This was a glimpse of my monitor career & failure in being one.

Indian 'sanima'

I am a complete movie buff.
I am that fan of movies who after watching every great movie imagines herself as the lead character.
I am that fan of movies who after every great scene doesn't refrain herself of clapping and sure whistling if I knew how to do that.

I am that fan of movies who if watching her favorite movie can forget any important work for e.g.- eating, studying for tomorrow's exam and ignoring mom's orders (the most important one!:P).

I am that fan of movies whose concentration level exceeds even Einstein's while watching movies!

Below is a list of my all-time favorite bollywood movie scenes-

  • 3 idiots-  if you've seen this movie you probably know which scene I am going to talk about. An Amir khan movie with a fair dose of  tears and laughter. There are many funny & heartwarming scenes in the movie but nothing beats this one.
  • Yeah, MR. CHATUR RAMALINGAM(omi vaidya) born & brought up in Uganda giving a memorable speech on teacher's  day. A hilarious scene which gives you the best pain - stomach ache with laughter. CHAMATKAAR kar diya!:P

  • Dilwale dulhaniya le jayenge- a die-hard romantic movie starring my favorite sharukh khan & kajol. The epic love-story of an NRI guy raj & desi kudi simran is still being watched even today by many. The award for the best scene goes to-

The end scene- after the fight sequence ,raj boards the train simran pleads to her father to let her go. Finally simran's father let go of her hand & says "ja simran ja, jeele apni zindagi". The train starts to depart simran runs & runs. Raj holds her hand & pulls her into the train. Welcome to "happily ever-after"! One of the best climax scenes ever!!

  • Dhoom-  an action movie, first of its kind in India which got such a good response. girls went gaga over John's fantastic physique . Boys went crazy with his superb bike stunts. Abhishek & uday too acted well but the star of the movie was John. An excellently shot movie with a 'dhaasoo' soundtrack!

The best scene- the chase sequence between Kabir gang & the police. Kabir gang on their bikes speeding up after robbing a bank right under the nose of police. Then a nail biting chasing  scene starts. jai & ali chasing him. But failed to catch him. Kabir's bike was far too advanced with a nitrogen cylinder. With the nitrogen boost he zoomed away from jai's sight & was soon out of their reach!

Qyality Walls-

The 3 basic needs of man-food, clothes & shelter.

Today I'll be talking about the 3rd need -shelter( walls to be precise).

walls are not just physical structures that surround us, they are much more than that. Let's have a closer & deep look at them.

Importance-
- walls protect us, let us have some private space.

-Walls are symbol of security. It does not let outside influences to disturb us.

- Be it any season-summer, winter, autumn or spring walls are there for us.

-walls  are great supporters too. It supports roof ,without which it would have been very difficult to dodge the rains and strong sunshine!

-walls have been of great importance since ages. old kingdoms building huge walls around their fort for defense against enemies.

-some great old memories- sketching on the walls when we were young and decorating the walls with the poster of our favorite rock star (Hannah Montana or Michael Jackson ) or an inspiring person in our teens.

-Standing tall even today the GREAT WALL of china is a perfect example of  grandeur of the human architecture.

-a nicely built wall with a strong foundation can stand even the worse of worst calamities and disasters.

Psychology behind it-
but walls are always not pretty and comforting. they are often a sign of restriction, oppression and imprisonment.

Ask Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi & others who have spent a very long time on house arrest.

The most terrifying situation I can imagine myself  in - confined In 4 walls of a room forever with no communication. As good as dead.

Walls are a symbol of divide too. Walls  create separations and divisions.  Walls  have become a border separating one house from another, one state from another & one country from another.

with the outside walls we should take care of our inside invisible walls too.

The walls which are present in our minds of differences. These invisible walls often makes us forget that we all are equal. we should build our inside walls strong enough to protect us from negativity, evils and fears.

Thought to ponder-
Just imagine what if one day all the people decide to break every wall on earth(almost every wall) . What will be the scenario? Horrifying, huh??!!

Sure there would be a feeling of horror as there would always be a fear of someone watching us and our secrets will be out. our private life would be totally disrupted. An unimaginable difficult event in an age where people are completely busy in their own life and care little of outside world.

But if looked from a positive perspective this event would certainly bring  a unique sense of freedom and equality!

That's all about the walls from my side!
